To all Portuguese Water Dog lovers,

This letter is to let you know of our experience with Akire PWD.

We first heard of Ebba through PWD breeders on the east coast of FL [where we winter]. We were looking for our 2nd portie. We had our first portie for 10 years and loved her as a member of our family, which she was. So getting another would be a hard act to follow and a big hole in our hearts to fill. We were very cautious about choosing another 'family member'. However, the rave reviews we heard about Akire, and the quality of the animals were enough to make a road trip.

Well let me tell you...it was love at first sight! All the puppies were extremely well cared for and in great health. They were all playful and happy with lots of energy...at least until nap time. We were also able to see that this was a litter of great breeding quality. This was not a money thing, it was spreading PWD love!

Well, we made the trip home discussing the options and finally decided on the 'one'. We let Ebba know of our choice and a few days later she informed us that we had a new baby girl. At that point it was very hard to past the days until we were able to go back again and pick her up.

From that day, about 14 months ago, till now we have had so much joy from our Isabella words cannot express. Izzy is healthy, smart, happy and full of energy. She has a Great temperament, Great confirmation and a Great BIG heart. Izzy has filled a void in our hearts that I thought would never again be whole.

I would highly recommend a call to Ebba and Akire if you are looking for a top notch animal and true caring in a breeder. To this day we stay in touch... after all, my Izzy will always be a part of Akire Portuguese Water Dogs.
