Last year I had the misfortune of losing my 11 year old Maltese from a heart attack. To add to my grief, my 2-1/2 year old Aussie was experiencing terrible seizures and had to be put down. I was devastated. I loved both my dogs and wanted to fill the holes they had left in my heart. I could not, however, bear the thought of possibly losing another, especially to seizures.

I watched your pups for three weeks. They were so cute, and I was drawn to one little girl but had no intention of bringing her home. I thought I could be satisfied with a "puppy fix" every few days. The Portugese Water Dog was a new breed to me, and I did not know what to expect. I did love your dogs and felt confident that the health and breeding of this litter was exceptional.

One afternoon, you suggested I take her home for an overnight to see if we were compatible. I did. Of course, I never took her back to you. What I ended up getting was a beautiful, extremely intelligent, loving dog...who does not shed. She is friendly with everyone, yet sticks to me like velcro. She has completely filled the empty spots in my heart and on my bed.
